I searched for this on the site and didn't find anything specific to the change so I thought I would ask. If there is a discussion feel free to post the link(s) and mock my lack of search skills. 🙂
I haven't paid as much attention as I should to what's being depreciated and never thought that OLE DB would be on the list. Turns out I should have been paying more attention.
What's the deal with this in regards to SSIS and what are people doing with their development due to this announcement?

'Deprecation' is the word you are looking for, I think.
Beyond the fact that I know that it is being deprecated, I have heard nothing in terms of timelines, progress or possible alternatives ("back to ODBC" is the last I can remember about this). It's going to be around for a few years yet and I haven't started planning to migrate anywhere.
If you haven't even tried to resolve your issue, please don't expect the hard-working volunteers here to waste their time providing links to answers which you could easily have found yourself.

My take on this is to use OLE DB where the unique functionality it provides is not available elsewhere, otherwise not.
