Using SSRS2012 with SharePoint 2010 Foundation

  Hi All

  I am new to the MSBI scene infact I am taking my first steps via SSRS. I am referring to Learning SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 Step By Step book and I am stuck at using SQL Server Reporting Services in Sharepoint Integrated Mode. I have installed Sharepoint 2010 foundation and I have also configured the SSRS service which I have also started.

  (Pls see attached document). In the Managed Service Application section while clicking on New SQL SERVER Reporting Service Application

  I get the following error:

  The database engine instance 'L137270\Sharepoint' does not meet the edition requirements for the Reporting Services database.

  I have attached the screenshots in a word document for reference.

  I am guessing it is because my SSRS database is on 2014 SQL Server and SharePoint 2010 installed a 2010 MS SQL Server database for itself. This is just a guess, when I connect to L137270\Sharepoint database using SQL Server 2014 Mgmt Studio I am able to. Pls help, this issue has stalled my foray into MSBI.
