  Would be nice if ssc.com came out with at a minimum a "pros and cons" or "best and worst practices" on orms in general and ef in particular. Seems to me that by your silence you are endorsing them or just giving up; dba's (especially young dba's) need more than a few forum postings.

  That's a fair statement and good suggestion. Part of the issue is having enough experience with an ORM (or multiples) to suggest things.

  I'll see what I can do in terms of commissioning something.
