With exciting plans for further expansion through 2015, First Utility is looking to recruit two SQL Business Intelligence Team Lead professionals to their expanding Business Technology Group in Warwick.

  Job Description

  Responsibilities of the SQL Business Intelligence Team Lead

  Managing the work-flow and performance of a talented team of technical professionals through the timely delivery of BI reporting and development activities.

  Contribute to the development of the datawarehouse and the processes involved to populate with new information.

  Perform add-hoc data analysis to contribute to more insightful decision making capabilities.

  Work closely with senior stakeholders, and internal customers to guide them through unexpected results, resolving any potential issues in data quality.

  Educate others in the importance of BI and develop processes to enable user-access through Qlikview, SSRS and Roambi.

  Authoring technical and user documentation.

  The Successful Applicant

  Essential Skills and Experiences

  Expert-level competency with TSQL for datawarehousing and reporting processes. This experience could come from an Oracle or SQL Server background, but must be transferable to a SQL Server environment.

  Track record of managing the performance of teams of technical BI professionals.

  Ability to manage senior stakeholders - and their expectations - through the delivery cycle; agreeing requirements, estimating work, prioritising, scheduling, overseeing delivery and user acceptance.

  A hands-on and action-orientated individual, willing to use technical expertise to get jobs done, while communicating technical information to both IT-literate and lay stakeholders in understandable ways.

  Desirable

  Competent user of MS SQL Server BI Suite 2012 (Enterprise Edition) and SSRS

  Proficient in the SSIS and SSAS MS SQL Server packages

  Familiarity with Oracle and/or Postgres PLSQL

  Familiarity with alternative reporting technologies e.g. Tableau, QlikView, Roambi

  Track record of managing delivery to a wide range of end users including Sales and Marketing, Finance, Customer Services, Billing, etc.

  Exposure to the Energy Supply market

  All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and ideally be within commutable travelling distance of Warwick.
