  • Hie,

DBA certification refers to the certification given for your knowledge and skills that can be used for deploying, maintaining, and constructing new cloud-ready database.

As Microsoft provides category of these certifications I mentioning some of them below.

    1. MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE (MTA)

    2. MICROSOFT CERTIFIED TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE (MCTA)

    3. MICROSOFT CERTIFIED SOLUTION EXPERT (MCSE)

    4. MICROSOFT CERTIFIED TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (MCTP)

Feel free to ask for more details.

    Thanks & Regards

    1. MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE (MTA)

That's for people with no experience, it's not required by the MCSA/MCSE and is probably a waste of time for anyone who's got DBA/DB Dev experience.

    2. MICROSOFT CERTIFIED TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE (MCTA)

As above, it's the same cert you mentioned in 1.

    4. MICROSOFT CERTIFIED TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (MCTP)

MCITP, not MCTP, it's correct name is Microsoft Certified IT Professional.

That was the old certification track, last one of those was SQL 2008.

  • Word on the street is that a new cert for 2014 will be out very soon. But, as Gail says, it's not here yet.
