iam not aware of win 2014 , I did not find any icons on the desk top as in win 2008 . how to open sql server in cmd . as inb windows 2014 every thing will do bu using cmd prompt .please guide how to open and connect sql in windows 2014

Maybe it's the absense of the industrial strength espresso in the morning but I'm not certain what the question is, can you please elaborate?

Move your mouse to the lower left corner of the window and you'll see an icon. Or, go to the lower or upper right corners and you'll get a charms bar with the same icon in the center. You can also use the Windows key on a keyboard that has one. Click on that. It will show you your programs. You can then just type 'sql' which should bring up SSMS and all the other possible SQL Server apps that are installed. If that doesn't bring up an apps, then they're not installed on that machine.
