  • iam not aware of win 2014 , I did not find any icons on the desk top as in win 2008 . how to open sql server in cmd . as inb windows 2014 every thing will do bu using cmd prompt .please guide how to open and connect sql in windows 2014

    If you haven't even tried to resolve your issue, please don't expect the hard-working volunteers here to waste their time providing links to answers which you could easily have found yourself.

  • Move your mouse to the lower left corner of the window and you'll see an icon. Or, go to the lower or upper right corners and you'll get a charms bar with the same icon in the center. You can also use the Windows key on a keyboard that has one. Click on that. It will show you your programs. You can then just type 'sql' which should bring up SSMS and all the other possible SQL Server apps that are installed. If that doesn't bring up an apps, then they're not installed on that machine.
