I'm using SSRS 2008 (Business Intelligence Studio) with an Oracle back-end.
I have 4 independent data sets embedded into my report. They are all driven by a single user entered parameter at run time.
The trouble I am having is that if any one of those data sets returns no rows then the whole report fails with "An error occurred during local report processing. Object reference not set to an instance of object".
It's fine if all data sets return rows and, conversely, if all data sets fail to return rows then the report is still successfully rendered with empty tables.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the Oracle back-end or whether it's something else that's wrong about my report design.
Any help would be appreciated.
