im looking for a failover process that will result in 0 rolled back transactions. I'm thinking If I can kill all idle sql sessions until no sessions are remaining and then failover this may do it. I'd be ok waiting up to 30 min to kill all sessions ie somebody coming back from coffee and completing and saving their update. I'm ok killing just started transactions that will produce an application error when some is just starting to enter info. I want to avoid rolling back transactions that someone has hit the save button on .The quickest form will take 5 secs of entering before hitting save.
Any good ideas?
