SQL Server Source Control Basics

  • I just finished reading this book and it opened my eyes some good ways of organizing the flow of code from development to production, with source control as the pivotal tool. A great read for newbies on this subject. However, more experienced users can probably skip to the last chapters (like 7 and 8) to see detailed implementations of upgrade scripting versus latest create script methods of deploying upgrades to a database.

    Overall a good read.
