Sa Password Recovery

  • Hi All.

If i Access to Database with another admin user how to find SA Password What it is >?

If there Is way to get the password please help me.

    thanks...

  • If you don't have the SA password, you probably aren't going to get it from the system in 2005+. You could always ask the DBA for it or you could reset it if you need to, but why would you need it if you already have a sysadmin login? Besides, I would say that the SA login itself should be disabled anyway.

  • Tnx For Ur Comment .

I really Need sa Password ,?

Can I Copy Hole Sql MAnagement Server To another Computer ???

My point is if there is way to copy Sql managment; the all of them >>>

  • The only way to get an SA password if you don't have it is to have admin rights on the local hosts. Restart the SQL Server in single user mode and connect in with the dedicated administrator connection, using local windows administrator credentials and Windows authentication.

  • You can't get the sa password. SQL passwords are stored using a one-way, irreversible hash. You can change it if you have a sysadmin login, but you cannot get out the current value of any password. They're not stored anywhere in plain text.
