Hi All ,
Is there anything that I can check to know that the REPLICATION component has been installed in my client server ?
Because I keep getting error that the publisher cant connect to subcriber .... I view the syncronation status " connecting to subcriber .... for a long time and end up with that error
my publisher and subcriber are in the same domain
and they can ping to each other ...
This is weird ....
pls kindly help ...much appreciate it

What user is it trying to connect as and does it exist on the subscriber?
Is this the snapshot agent or the distributor agent?

so when I created the publication , I use Process account ( [domain]\REPLSNAPAGENT) and when I created the subcription I also use the same account ...
FYI : I am creating the MERGE Replication
How do I know that account exist in Subcriber>? How do i check it ?

FYI : Btw I have just tried to login into SQL using SQL Authentication ( [domain\REPLSNAPAGENT] into SUBCRIBER but it failed

That do in account must exist on the subscriber and have sufficient permissions in the database that you are replicating to

Hi ... I have checked the permission for that account .
In the SUBCRIBER , Security folder -> Login -> that account is there ( as sysadmin )
and in the database that I want to replicate to , I checked the Security folder ->users -> The account is there ( as DBOWNER)
What should I check again ?
