  I wonder if anyone could help to advise with this please.

  We have lots of different reporting requirements. Some of them require very interactive elements in reporting (i.e. cascading parameter, or dynamically add some more items in a list-box to run report, or even, have a bit flexibility to add customized metadata table for more control – i.e. define a package to include some sales items.)

  Using SSRS I find it is time consuming to design so, technically I can do cascading parameter, and dynamically passing parameters to retrieve data. However, I find SSRS is not really quite the right tool to do so and it has a certain limitations to allow flexible design.

  I wonder in order to achieve more interactive reporting, is SSRS the right one to use, or shall I use other tool (i.e. ASP.net with SSRS object… or else?) To do so, what skill sets shall I have please?

  I am using SQL 2008 R2 , SSRS this moment.
