Reset parameter value to NULL

  • Hi,

I am working on a report which has a combination of dropdownlist and user entered text parameters. As per the requirement, the values in the user entered text based parameters are defaulted to NULL.

At present, once the NULL values are replaced by a different value, the new value still stays on the report after the report is viewed.

Is it possible to reset the default value to NULL after user clicks on the View report ? I have tried many things but cannot find a way to do this.

Please find a screenshot of the report to give a better idea - The parameters - DUNS, COMPANY NAME and SHARED ALIAS should reset back to NULL after the report is first run.

Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

  • I'm not aware of anyway to do this. SSRS doesn't really give you control over the parameters when using Report Manager.
