Has anyone taken a good course about SQL Server Troubleshooting and/or Performance Monitoring?

I have not taken the course, but have wanted to take the IEPTO1: Immersion Event on Performance Tuning and Optimization – Part 1 and Part 2 classes by SqlSkill forever and have yet to find an employer who will foot the bill. A co-worker took the part 1 class and really found it useful, so I did get a bit of cross training.

Yes, the SQLSkills classes are probably the best out there. Brent Ozar Unlimited and PrgamaticWorks are 2 other companies that offer some good training classes usually taught by MVP's, authors, MCM's.
Another option is to check out the SQL Server offerings on PluralSight. A lot of the SQLSkills training is ending up on PluralSight so you can get it cheaper, but not interactive.

Both Sarah and Jack provide some great information.
The cheapest training you can get is to attend a local SQL Saturday. There are sure to be various courses given throughout the day that will help augment your skillset. By no means is it meant to be on par with the Immersions courses by SQLSkills, but it is definitely a resource and a decent place to start.

SQL Saturday events, SQL in the City events, PASS Summit, SQL Intersection, SQL Connections, Live 360, SQL Bits, SQL Relay.
These are all events with great training. Some are free. Some require registration, but you'll get excellent training.
