TDE and Issue described in KB2963658

  • Hello,

we are planning to use TDE in our system.

Today I stumbled on KB2963658 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2963658/en-us ) FIX: The TDE enabled database stops responding indefinitely on WRITELOG or LOGBUFFER wait in SQL Server - which does not solve the described problem :crying:, but at least it will take the database OFFLINE and an Error will be logged.

The question is, has anyone using TDE encountered the described Problem yet?

Is any one using TDE without any problems?

    Your answers are very appriciated.

    Thank you very much.

    Best Regards,

    Akki

  • I am using TDE without those issues.

For the most part TDE is working well enough.

    Hello Jason,

    that sounds good...

I don't get it why Microsoft isn't describing the cause of the problem more detailed :ermm:. That would help a lot.

I opened up a call with Microsoft, maybe they can give me further information.

    Thanks,

    Akki

I think that is a good plan.
