Dear all,

I need answers for the below questions on SQL Azure. Please explain.

1. Few of our applications use cross-database queries with joins - How do we do it on SQL Azure?
2. What are the limitations in migrating applications - we use C++, VC++ and .Net applications... can we migrate all these into cloud

1. Cross database queries were added: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/querying-remote-databases-in-azure-sql-db/

2. You can migrate things to the cloud, but what is your app? Is a C++ app running on the client? Server? With IaaS, essentially a VM in the cloud, you can run anything you run on premise. If apps run on clients, they access a SQL Azure Database similar to how they access one on premise.

It's hard to answer #2 without more information.
