Did everyone see the MCSE recertification SNAFU that Microsoft just released? If a MCSE does not pass the recertification exam by the deadline, that person will be ineligible to re-earn the certification until the next version of the software is released.

For example, for a person with MCSE Data Platform on SQL Server 2012 who doesn't recertify, that person cannot take the 70-464 and 70-465 exams a second time even though those exams now cover SQL Server 2014 and the person originally certified on SQL Server 2012. That person will have to wait until the next version of SQL Server is released to earn the MCSE Data Platform certification again.

For more details:

Seems like a really dumb implementation of an otherwise good idea (recertification).
