Report Manager Layout Different after migrating from SQL Server 2005 SSRS to SQL Server 2012 SSRS

  • Hi! We've recently migrated from a SQL Server 2005 server with Report Manager running in IE 7 to SQL Server 2012 and with Report Manager running in IE 9. Users are complaining that in the old server, the SSRS folders/reports were displayed alphabetically. In the new server, Report Manager is displaying the report more randomly with larger icons and uses more space. The reports were migrated by backing up the SQL 2005 ReportServer database and restoring them to the new SQL 2012 server.

Does anyone know how to have Report Manager display folders and report alphabetically and with smaller icons to make better use of the white space?

    Appreciate any assistance.

  • Hi,

To change the view simply click on the "Details View" option on the right hand side of the toolbar.

I think the "Tile View" is the default.

  • Our company is doing the exact same thing over the next week or 2. Converting from SSRS 2005 to 2012. So, I am curious if there are other migration issues and/or gottchas that people have experienced?
