Hi There,

I hope this is a silly easy question for someone to answer

We have a replicated database and the archived database has SYNONYMs setup. Some of these reference the Distribution database but need to be recreated as the database name they reference is incorrect (the name is wrong)...i have no idea how this happened but it is what it is!!

For example one synontm references table "MSdistribution_history" in Distribution_Reporting BUT should really be Distribution...so I want to delete the Synonym and then recreate it. Can i do this and would it break replication?

For info this is SQL 2005 and Transaction replication.

Cheers,

Steve
