  Hi,

  Does anyone have some ideas on how to explain what your report is doing to the end user? Say if you have a new person starting your company and they have access to Report Server and there is one report they would like to know what the logic is; what would you do and how much detail would you go into?

  For myself if it's a report someone else has created I am having to open the report in Visual Studio and then looking at the sql code behind it, then trying to explain what the logic is for this.

  Then if your not familiar with the tables that are being used within the report, you are then having to find out how the tables are these created so then that's a case of opening the ssis package that populates the table and then your at the stage of explaining to the user how each field is populated.

  Does anyone have example or case studies of what they would do in their company for this kind of scenario?
