Timeout error while connecting to SQL instance

  Hi Experts,

  I have one server with SQL server 2005 and 2008 R2, I am getting timeout error while connecting to SQL 2005 server.

  When I restart the SQL server service, it shows error message 1053 and the service stops after that. It works without any error when I start the service again.

  The SQL server works fine for one day but after sometime it again starts showing timeout error message when I try to connect this instance through SSMS.

  Can you please help.

  Have you viewed the error log? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms187885(v=sql.105).aspx If so, what was listed?
