Error from SQL Server Log
Log Writer: Operating System Error 170(The requested resource is in use) encountered.
This happens nearly everyday for different databases and SQL Server restarts depending which log file causes a problem.Like in case of tempdb I had to restart the database.
I have a virtualized multi-instance SQL Server Cluster on Vmware ESX 4.1, and the storage is on NetApp SAN. The last week we migrated storage to a Netapp SAN.
The shared disks within the virtual machines are virtualized disks, should we have the shared disks as RDM(physical disks). Would this be causing the write error ?
