  • Any plan to release the mobile APP for this ?

I constantly use this site on my mobile but its very heavy and often end with no result in case of opeinning any post.

Mobile APP will provide more leverage

I work only to learn Sql Server...though my company pays me for getting their stuff done;-)

  • Not anytime soon. We tried a basic mobile app for the question of the day, but it didn't get much usage. Reformatting articles is possible, but the forums would require a lot of work.

The nature of the site is that people tend to use it mostly at work, where mobile isn't as prevalent.

  • You won't ever be able to stop 100% of all spam, wihtout blocking legitimate posts! So, maybe you can find a way to add a "Report Spam" link. I am not sure where Spam is a problem on your site, it isn't really an issue from my perspective, but if it is in new posts, maybe adding a report spam button on every new post would help.

My bigger concern is that my email gets farmed from sites very often, and I get hundreds of spam emails daily. It seems the more that sites require you to register, the more this is an issue. I have no idea whether anyone has farmed SSC for emails or not, but that would be something to try to prevent if you can.

We have the "report" button above each post and people use it. We've done most of our work on the back end to limit spam logins that are sending lots of junk our way.

We have tried hard to not expose emails anywhere on the system. You log in and that's the only place email is entered. Otherwise, we stick to a username and don't share emails outside the company in any way to prevent issues.
