Guys, Pls. advice.
I have 5 instances of SQL Server installed on a particular server, and I would like to apply a new patch to one of the instance on the server. How would like go about this without affecting the rest of the instance on the server? Reply soon.

Which patch do yo refer to? If you talk about SQL Server patch, The patch installation will affect only the instance you want to applied. You may have to reboot the machine that will affect the avaiablility of all instances during the shutdown. If the patch includes MDAC update, The MDAC update will have effect to all the instances.

The Servic Pack is SP3 or SP3a for 2000 and SP4 for 7.0 version
