The passive node gives this error:

initerrlog: Could not open error log file 'E:\MSSQL10.Cluster001SQL1\MSSQL\Log\ERRORLOG'. Operating system error = 3(The system cannot find the path specified.).

The E-drive is a dependency in cluster administrator (Win 2008 R2 )

What do we forget. I cannot find any cause.

Does the folder exist?

Yes on the active clusternode. With sufficient rights. Can see and put files in it with SSMS

If E drive is a cluster resource and is currently owned by the active node then the drive will not be present on the passive node at all, as expected.

But then, why are you trying to start SQL on the passive node?

I'm not starting the non active nodig. It gives an error in the eventlog that it cannot find it on the non active machine who is non active.
