Add Full text component

    I have an instance of SQL server currently running and I would like to add the Full Text component. I know the steps involved with adding that, but I was wondering if this can be done on the fly or if it will require a restart of SQL.

    I believe it's a restart since it adds components to the instance files. However I haven't done this in awhile and can't be sure. I don't have a test instance without it to try right now either.

    This does indeed require a restart. Schedule maintenance time.

    Thanks, I suspected as much since this is a change in features that access the sqlservr.exe.
