SQL Server Replication

  • Good Day. We configured a pull Replication with the Distributor residing on the Publisher. I am able to see transactions going to the Distributor, but I would like to know how one can monitor the transactions going FROM the Distributor TO the Subscriber .

  • do you need to monitor pending commands from distributor to subscriber?

if You need to check article wise pending commands kindly make use of below query , it has to execute in distributor server in distribution database..

    SELECT MsPDb.Publisher_DB

    , MsArt.article

, Count(*) AS [Number of Commands Pending]

    FROM MSrepl_commands MsRCm (NOLOCK)

    JOIN MSpublisher_databases MsPDb (NOLOCK) ON MsPDb.id = MsRCm.publisher_database_id

JOIN MSarticles MsArt (NOLOCK) ON MsRCm.article_id = MsArt.article_id

    AND MsPDb.Publisher_DB = MsArt.Publisher_DB

    WHERE MsPDb.Publisher_DB = '' ----- Your database Name here

    GROUP BY MsPDb.Publisher_DB

    , MsArt.article

    ORDER BY 1, 3 DESC

  • Thank you for the feedback. I need to compare the publisher database with the subscriber database .

  • Hi

a simple GUI will be the Replication monitor, it displays from start to finish.

  • Hi,

You want to see DB comparison or Replication monitor , If u want see replication status, using replication monitor window in server explorer .

    Thanks,

    RR
