When a database is upgraded from a SQL Server 2000 instance to a 2005+, if its compatibility level is raised to 90+, can the page and row counts still become inaccurate (after DBCC UPDATEUSAGE) since it came from SQL Server 2000?
I understand the counts can be off a little bit for any compatibility level if a database is subject to many DDL changes, but I'm interested particularly in whether it is worse for databases from 2000.
That's the impression I get, but can't seem to find a definite answer.
Thanks!
