Hi steve,

this is just suggestion for consideration.

I have used this blog a lot and i read lot of good answers from various experts. When new person starts in our team i advise them to visit this blog and see how people reply to query with various answers.

How about if we create sharing the code or good practice section on this website?

I saw some video on youtube from Pinal dave around performance tuning which was very useful so i could share the link and give positive feedback about the video.

I recently wrote the script to dynamically pivot the table which i can share by creating sample table. We can create section in sharing good practice like T-SQL Code, Tuning, Index etc.

When user share the t-sql code they can write the subject in a way that any one can search in google like Converting row to column dynamically or performance tuning tips or index.

This kind of section will be very useful for some one new to get started with sql by reading all of this material and going to the link via the answers.

thanks.

This sounds a lot like the scripts section that already exists. It is over there on the left right under the Forums link.

Are you asking if there could be a place where people submit links to content on other sites that could be helpful?

yes steve, that could be part of this section. As per example there are many videos on youtube about performance tuning and one by pinal dave was excellent. it was very easy to understand and many sql developers would learn something from that video.

We'll talk about it.

The hard part is categorizing and finding this info. We do include a number of these items in Database Weekly each week, with links to content that we think is of interest to database professionals.
