Enabling Always On availablity :Couldn't enable the option

  • Hi,,

In sql server 2012 creating a cluster , i had added servers and the next step is Access point for administering the cluster which i need to give the IP address dedicated to the cluster.I don't have a dedicated IP address to assigning to creating cluster. i couldn't pass this step for creating clustering. Kindly help in passing this through.

  • You REALLY CANNOT do clustering or "always on" based on some forum posts. PLEASE do yourself a favor and get some professional help!!

Are you saying you don't have any spare IPs in your range?

Have you talked this through with your network admins?

I agree with Kevin, attempting this with little knowledge will only end badly.
