Hello,
I am trying to build a sql server. It can probably be good enough for a small business and run on MS SQL Server 2008 R2. Can anyone recommend me with the brands, processors, motherboards, etc...? Maybe cost $1,000 less would be better.
Thanks,

Sounds like you want to work with a vendor who can advise you on a hardware purchase based on your anticipated workload, like Dell or CDW. Know your workload though before you call, e.g. how much disk space you need, how large your databases and what percentage of the data is used on a regular basis so you can scope the amount of memory you want, etc.
