I am working with a visual studio ide for SSRS report 2008 r2. I would like to see what stored procdure is executed for the report. However while I am in visual studio, I do not know how find the stored procedure. Thus can you tell me what to click on so that I can find the stored procedure behind a report?

You can look in the datasets for that report. You would typically see those on the left hand sand from within BIDS (Vis. Studio)

When I am using bids, I do not see the dataset on the left side of the visual studio ide. Can you tell me how to display the dataset?

If you do not have the report data window visible (either as a tab or as a window within bids), then click view and then click report data (at the bottom of the view menu).
This will show the report data window. There will be a data sets section with a + in that window.
