Hello,
I have an instance of SQL Server 2008 R2 running on Windows Server 2003 R2 and the main data disk has recently died. This was replaced and the data recovered, but I notice now that the SSCM is not displaying any services in the list. The db engine is apparently working and serving data, but I wish to move the master ldf off the data drive where the rebuild put it and I am unable to do this without first telling SQL where to look for it.
I've followed advice from the 'More information' section in this KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941823 but it made no difference to what I could see. (I tested it first on a dev server and it did make a difference).
What else could be stopping the services from being seen in the SSCM?
Thanks,
Mike
