we have a requirement to configure Linked server by using oracle provider . when we tried to configure linked server by selecting the oracle provider SSMS is hanging , we checked in logs but we did not find any related information . how to do it ?

SQL is locked when we tried to configure Linked server by using oracle provider , sql version is 2008 R2 64 -bit .

Did you install the 64-bit Oracle client? What provider are you using, the MS one or the Oracle one?
