VL Read Only DB

    Hi experts,

    We have a 4.3 TB database ,can i restore it to another server which is having only 4.3 TB free space in it?

    If the destination has the required amount of free space to restore the database to it as it was backed up from the source server then yes.

    So for example, if the source db is 4.3 TB, 4TB MDF, 300GB LDF and you have 2 drives with 4TB and 300GB then yes. If you have a drive with 4.2TB then no.

    SQL has to restore the databases as it was at the time it was backed up.
