I have scheduled the DB backup in our server but frequently its failing with below error

Standard Edition (64-bit)
RTM
9.00.1399.06


Agent is running fine but still getting error.
Error
The return value was unknown. The process exit code was -1073741502. The step failed.

Hi Jame,

Can please provide error what windows event view showing because it will show the some part of error in application part .

Whether you running the maintenance plan running for this job ?

Please check whether you service account is expire or not for sql server agent

Is the backup part of a Maintenance Plan in which you have more than one database being backed up in it? Are all of the databases within the Maintenance Plan still active and online on the SQL Server?
