i need to upgrade SQL 2005 to sql 2008 r2 where the db's are configured transactional replication .
can any one send the step by step approach who to upgrade and the precautions while upgrading the server ?

can any one send the step by step approach who to upgrade and the precautions while upgrading the server ?


Run the upgrade advisor ,check if any errors or warnings it showing ,Fix them and then start upgrading

While upgrading replicated instances, order matters.

Upgrade should be done in the following order:
1) Distributor
2) Subscriber
3) Publisher
