Hi all,
Does anyone know of any useful SQL Server conferences/seminars that a relative SQL newbie (ie me!) could attend within the UK, I missed SQL in the City (London) in July unfortunately and I can't seem to find anything else?
Many thanks as always. M

Have a look here:

SQLBits (
http://sqlbits.com/
) is another good conference to attend, though it only runs once a year.

Many thanks for the suggestions.
SQLBits is definately on my list for next year as is SQL in the City.
ChrisM@Work - I'm trying to get myself up to Manchester for Christian Bolton's Advanced Internals and Troubleshooting Workshop that was on the sqlserverfaq.com site as well, watch this space!
If anyone else has any other suggestions I'd love to hear them.
Cheers, M

+1 for SQLBits - I attended this year, really impressed. Hopefully I'll get there again next year.

I normally attend the local SQL Server user group meetings, you'll find them on SQLServerFAQ. You need to pre-register but they're free to attend and while not always easy for the newbie to understand, may give you an initial foothold.
Plus, free pizza.

Note to developers:
CAST(SUBSTRING(CAST(FLOOR(NULLIF(ISNULL(COALESCE(1,NULL),NULL),NULL)) AS CHAR(1)),1,1) AS INT) == 1
So why complicate your code AND MAKE MY JOB HARDER??!
