Hi all,

Wondering how the job market is in Canada for SQL DBAs. Which province to choose? Have looked at workopolis and monster but saw only a couple of sql dba ads per province. Not very promising. Anyone from Canada? Thanks!

The bad news is IT jobs in general pay lower compared to the US (look up TDWI, Global Knowledge salary reports). The good news is SQL Server is more popular than Oracle in Canada in general compared to the US so there should be some opportunities here in Canada albeit probably a lower salary compared to a similar job in the US (at least in most regions).

I'd imagine experience matters more but a certification wouldn't hurt but that's just my opinion.
