In-Memory Databases vs Traditional Databases

  • Hi,

I don't know if the title means my concern but i didn't know how to put it.

I'm new in this and i noted that .Net uses a In-Memory Database technology to be accessed by the entity framework. The read and write of the in-memory data seems to be faster according to some pages i was looking for but i want to read it from the people who knows the business what are the pros and cons of this new technology.

Please, let me know what you think.

  • In memory databases don't do well when the power goes off.
