Hi friends,
Need u r expert advise
We are doing migration of SQL sever 7 to SQL Server 2008 R2.first step which we are doing is taking db backup from SQL Server 7 server and restoring to SQL server 2000 server and there on backup of SQL serve 2000 will be restored on SQL Server 2008 r2 server.
For this purpose I am trying to install SQL Server 2000 Dev edition on Windows 2008 R2 (64 bit).But while starting installation getting "incompatibility error"
I find couple of post in which people are saying that they installed SQL server 2000 on windows 2008 server successfully.
