I am going to re-apply some of those principles as I try to correct my own burn-out.
Might take a look too. After 18 months of a two hour each way commute I'm too knackered most nights to crack open a beer.
Man, I couldn't do this. I'm also working 2 hours from home (actually closer to 2.5), but I stay in a hotel during the week to avoid this long drive.

I always estimated the cut-off to be about 90 minutes - more than that and you'd not want to do it for more than a few months. But I was wrong, it depends on the job and the folks you're working with. The folks here are great and the job's interesting and demanding. That changes things.
