Hi Everyone,i greatly needed your help.our banking system mssql database has encountered the following error in which we cannot back up2011-03-11 18:32:35.20 Backup Error: 18210, Severity: 16, State: 1.2011-03-11 18:32:35.20 Backup BackupIoRequest::WaitForIoCompletion: read failure on backup device 'F:\MBWin\DataFiles\Microbanker.mdf'. Operating system error 23(Data error (cyclic redundancy check).).please help :sick:

U also need to note the OS error specified along with the backup failure error..So that u can easily sort out the issue...Eg: Operating system error 112Operating system error 64Operating system error 995

Did you check whether you have enough space in the drive.

Hi, I dont know in which scenario you are getting this error. But I am sure this could be related to backup destination location issue, may be out of space on the destination drive or medium error. Try changing your backup location to somewhere otherthan the current one..

Getting this error in production

MSSQL Error: 18210. spid217 BackupMedium::ReportIoError: write failure on backup device

any help appreciated
