Is your cluster already set up in Windows?I had always installed cluster or had to move an instance to a new server because of the hardware limitations. The worse case if you try that procedure is that you'll mess up and have to uninstall/reinstall. Let us know if it works. Not sure it's easy, but doesn't look too bad.

RE: Moving SQL Server 2000 instance on new MSCS cluster without uninstalling it ?

Thanks !I also find this : http://blogs.msdn.com/sqlserverfaq/archive/2008/04/27/how-to-convert-a-standalone-instance-of-sql-server-into-an-clustered-instance.aspx .
