You specify the database, level of analysis to be done, whether you want to keep all indexes and if you want to use indexed views. Next you specify where to find the query to be analyzed (profiler trace, workload file or QA Query window). Tell it what tables to use and then let it run.It will provide recommendations on what index to add (or remove) and can generate the code to do so. It's prone to giving rather sub-optimal suggestions. Learning to tune indexes yourself will get you much better results most of the time.If you're not sure where to start, post the schema or one or two of your tables here, along with the more common queries and someone wll likly help you.If you can, I would suggest getting a consultant in for a couple of days. Someone who specialises in performance tuning.
