But yes, this is a SQL Server forum and yes, the MS certifications are the official global standard for SQL Server education. However, I don't know him, his skills, his plans or his thoughts, so I'm not going to insist on anything - except possibly that we all take note of how the GilaMonster once again demonstrates her ability to cut straight to the core of the matter and say something useful about exactly that in just a couple of lines.

RE: Phd Suggestions

if u want to go ahead with database side, i will insist to go for microsoft certification. it can be recognized all over the world. The 'Data Platform' exams are:70-461: Querying Microsoft SQL Server 201270-462: Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Databases70-463: Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 201270-464: Developing Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Databases70-465: Designing Database Solutions for Microsoft SQL Server 2012The Business Intelligence exams are:70-461: Querying Microsoft SQL Server 201270-462: Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Databases70-463: Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 201270-466: Implementing Data Models and Reports with Microsoft SQL Server 201270-467: Designing Business Intelligence Solutions with Microsoft SQL Server 2012

RE: Phd Suggestions
saranya.priyadharshini (1/6/2013)
Hi,Planning to go ahead with Phd in Database Admin, Kindly provide some suggestions on it... Once you've read sufficiently about what is currently being done, then you should be able to spot a hole in the research for you to make a contribution in. Be sure to spend time discussing potential topics with your supervisor, they will know far better than we will what's acceptable.

RE: Phd Suggestions

Interesting.
