What I didn't realise is that using the normal daily backups of my RS dbs couldn't be used on the new server.Am I correct in thinking that if I needed to perform a rebuild of the LIVE server on new hardware ie the LIVE server is unobtainable.1 . Previous backup of encryption key will be needed.2. Backup of REPORTING SERVICES will be needed, which have been backed up using the WITH COPY ONLY method.3 Restore DBs on New server.4 Configure via RS Config tool, restore encryption key etc.If I am correct, I imagine there are many DBAs backing up REPORTS db and REPORTSTEMPDB without the WITH COPY ONLY option and if they needed to rebuild a new server without the use of the current server they would be well and truely stuck. Is this correct if so I have learnt something very valuable today.
