The only reason management wants NetBackup is to use less expensive tape drives. The NetBackup tool writes backups to a NetBackup tape drive. We should be able to use SQL Server to write out it’s backups to the NetBackup drive too if we have the NetBackup library. The Oracle folks here have figured out a way to do it.
