PCs are on the client subnets and some servers are on the server subnet. I am unable to connect to the servers on the server subnets using SQL Server Management Studio. I have narrowed the issue down to a problem with the Windows Firewall on the the particular server which needs to have a particular port open by switching the Windows Firewall off. When I do so I can connect to the server using Management Studio. My question is quite simply; which port on the server needs to be opened inn order to allow connections from Management Studio from client PCs?Thanks for your help.
