By saying yes it will convert them and you can publish them in 2008 server. But this solution is not good if you have large volume of reports as you need to upload each report to the 2008 server or you may find another solution to bulk upload them!!! Also keep in mind as soon as you convert your reports from 2005 to 2008 you can never convert them back again.
